Movement Re-education
"I am passionate about helping patients recover from health challenges, pain and the effects of stress. Blending Chiropractic care with a gentle hands-on approach calms the nervous system to integrate deep healing."
With an advanced postgraduate certification in Chiropractic Rehabilitation and fascination with fascia, she utilizes Chiropractic and soft-tissue therapies to address adhesions, nerve entrapment and restricted movement patterns. Her integrative approach could include trigger point therapy, myofascial release, cranio-sacral integration, active and passive stretching, cupping and state of the art Low Level Laser.
PVT is the science of safety through the network of the Vagus Nerve and its affect on the Autonomic Nervous System. If the body is stuck in a state of defense from pain, trauma and illness, the threat keeps us stuck in our Sympathetic Nervous System or in a shut down state of overwhelm. When safety is present in our body, environment and relationships, we have the ability to move into healing and restoration of our nervous system.
The Polyvagal Theory
Rehabilitation and ergonomics target poor posture and movement patterns. Retraining of the deep spinal muscles stabilize alignment and maintain a healthy posture. Patricia utilizes methods from Pilates, Foundation Training, and her experience with low tech tools like foam rolls, gymballs and re-posturing.

Every movement is really a chain of events, nothing moves independently. Learning how to move from a functional basis to stabilize and strengthen the core often changes chronic pain patterns.
Treatment is scheduled for 60 or 90 minute visits and because of this in depth approach Dr. Hurley works by Appointment Only.
